Meadowlakes, Texas is unique in that it has not only a wonderful view of the Trinity River, but it also has a series of buildings that were built-up in this 1800’s town. These historic buildings are a great place to see what life was like over a century ago. There are over six buildings that house historic artifacts and offer tours of the buildings and their histories. The building is constructed from sandstone that is cut into slabs that are set atop a cement foundation. See here for information about Things to Do in Marble Falls, Texas.

These buildings date back to the past of the pioneers of this area, some of whom lived in this small Texas town. All of the buildings have been preserved in their original condition. This is because they were constructed by local citizens and some of the lands were acquired from the residents of Burnet County. Many of the houses have been restored and some of them still have their original wood siding. They have all been weather-proofed, so they are quite functional year-round.
